The Missouri Prairie Foundation will hold a native plant sale on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at the World Bird Sanctuary, 125 Bald Eagle Ridge Rd., Valley Park, MO 63088 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Native plants beautify landscapes and help support songbirds and other cherished wildlife. A wide variety of native wildflowers, grasses, shrubs, trees, vines, and sedges from Grow Native! professional members will be available for purchase at this sale. Some vendors accept cash, check, or credit cards; some only cash or checks. An entry fee of $5 per person will be collected by the World Bird Sanctuary to benefit their mission to protect and preserve birds and their habitats, however, children aged 5 and under enter free. Enjoy the magnificent live bird exhibits while sourcing your native plants from local growers!

Native plant and native plant-related product vendors include: Gaylena’s Garden, Gnomes for Natives, Ozark Soul, Papillon Perennials, and River City Natives.

Shoppers can stroll through the sale and purchase plants from each vendor; each vendor must be paid separately. “Early birds” who arrive prior to 10 a.m. will be asked to wait until the advertised start time to begin browsing product selections and making purchases.

Shoppers can also pre-order plants and have their orders ready for pick up at the event. When placing your pre-orders, please include your phone number and note that the order is for the World Bird Sanctuary sale on April 18.
